Day 9 - We Head Home

We got up Monday morning and said goodbye to our beautiful "bacation house" and headed to the airport. After a quick layover in St. Louis we landed in Dallas and drove home.

I think this picture sums up the trip very well...The kids were so in awe of all the excitement and wonder that is Disney. But it was so much more than that...

We are so blessed!

Blessed to have grandparents who want to see their grandkids experience something fun and then make it happen.
Blessed to have family that we like to be around and enjoy spending nine days with them in one house.
Blessed to have good weather and safe travel.
Blessed to be able to see experiences through the kids' eyes.
Blessed to have kids that are so fun to be around.
Blessed to have Grant and Molly.

Yes, this was a fabulous trip and I will cherish so many memories but what I will remember most is just being together. We were able to truly get away and focus on each other. We relaxed and had fun.

Thanks Mom and Dad for the trip of a lifetime!

Day 8 - Our Last Day at Disney

We wanted to spend our last day at Disney at the Magic Kingdom. Mom and Dad dropped us off because they went to Starbucks to use the internet to watch their church service as Joey and Emily were being commissioned for their trip to the Philippines.

We went straight to Buzz Lightyear and ended up riding it eight times in a row! We were having so much fun playing, switching who we rode with and trying to improve our scores. There wasn't any line at all so we just walked on each time and then we would all want to ride again!

After Buzz we took Grant on Space Mountain!! We did the rider switch since Molly wasn't tall enough so Jeremy took him first. He got off grinning from ear to ear. I took him the second time and he laughed the whole time! We then drove the Indy Speedway and had lunch with Cosmic Ray. On our way out from lunch we ran into an old friend...PUSH the trashcan. We introduced him to the kids, they thought he was funny, he said he liked Molly's glasses which made her giggle and Jeremy announced that our trip was complete now that we had seen PUSH.

We headed over to Toontown to see Mickey and Minnie's houses (next door to each other and very appropriate). The kids liked playing and seeing all there was to see.

We took a break to have some fun in the playground outside of Minnie's house...so much fun!

It was almost time for Mom and Dad to pick us up to go back to the house to nap so we took the Steam Train around the park back to the entrance. We got to see the Family Fun Day Parade and visit with some more new friends!

Bert and Mary Poppins

Pinocchio

Jiminy Cricket
After some lunch and a nap we headed back to the kingdom to finish off the day. The kids loved riding the monorail!

As we walked down Main Street we got to see the show in front of the castle...very impressive!

We spent the afternoon just strolling along, shopping and just soaking in the spirit of it all. We found our spots for the Spectromagic parade and the Wishes fireworks show. Of course we had to indulge in a traditional Mickey bar and a funnel cake too!

I love traditions that are this yummy!!!
The kids loved all the lights and sounds that go along with the night parade! They have added some new floats since last time and it is so neat to watch!

As we watched Wishes I couldn't help but get a little teary. I just kept thinking what a truly magical trip it had been and how much fun the kids had! It was the perfect finale!

*Didn't Jeremy do a great job with the fireworks photos?!?

I know, I know...

I know that it has been like...forever...since I last blogged. I'm working on the last day of the Disney trip and then this blog will be about our normal, silly selves.

*There Eli I did update about something! :)
