Day 3b - Magic Kingdom continues

So what can make a little girl this happy?

Her daddy bought her some Minnie ears!
You will see that for most of the rest of the trip Molly has her ears on.
She absolutely loved them!

Of course he got Grant some Mickey ears too.

After getting our new accessories we hopped on Peter Pan's Flight then It's a Small World, which of course is the same as always. Got some fastpasses for Winnie the Pooh and waited in Pooh's Playful Spot. We also got to meet Darby along with Tigger and Pooh and yes we got to hear Dad say "I see Pooh!" again. We rode Pooh and then we were off to the Mad Tea Party other wise known as the spinning tea cups! Mom and Dad opted out of this one (wusses!) but the Hudson 4 were ready to spin!

After the Tea Cups we headed over the see Mickey's Philharmagic which is a 3d movie that is very cool. The kids have never seen a 3d move before so they loved it! Grant trying to reach out and grab Donald...so cute.

It had been a jam packed morning and we were getting hungry again! We headed over to Columbia Harbour House for some fish and chips. Mighty tasty and I would certainly recommend it. We were headed to Big Thunder Mountain when Woody and his gang rolled into town for the Cowboy Camp. Molly was chosen to part of his Round Up Gang!

Now we can continue the quest for Big Thunder Mountain! What a fun ride! This was Grant's favorite of the day...my little roller coaster junkie. Molly wasn't quite as fond of it...ok...it scared her silly but ended up laughing by the end. We decided to skip Splash Mountain because who wants to be wet while you are walking around, ick! We watched the Country Bear Jamboree which was a little odd and very outdated. We then caught the Dreams Come True parade and saw some favorite friends!

After the parade we rode Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride and then headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean. Grant liked the pirates and Molly liked looking for the puppy with the keys in his mouth. We even got to meet a few pirate hunters too!

Whew! After a whirlwind day it was time to head back to the house for dinner and sleep! On schedule tomorrow...Hollywood Studios!

Day 3 - Magic Kingdom

We started our morning early since we have breakfast reservations and we knew that this was the big moment for Molly. She was going to see Cinderella's Castle for the first time! I was just as excited to watch her as she was about seeing it! This was the moment she had been talking about ever since we said we were going to Disney World. She first started talking about how she was going to see Cinderella's Castle, then she started adding new elements like I want to go see Cinderella's Castle and I have to wear my dress. This went on for months until her final statement would be I want to go see Cinderella's Castle and I have to wear my dress and glass slippers and my gloves and I will see Cinderella and Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother and we will all dance together. There was probably more than that but that is what I can remember. Anyway, to say the least she was excited! We didn't let her see it as we rode the monorail into the park so this was her as we turned the corner onto Main St and she saw it. Just hearing her excitement and awe of course had me crying but that is why we have our diva sunglasses!

That sweet girl could not take her eyes of the castle even long enough for a picture so this is the closest we got to having her face in one.

Now we get to begin our day with breakfast at Crystal Palace and some from friends from the 100 Acre Wood! Might I say this buffet was really good and Pooh's Breakfast Lasagna was excellent! It was at this breakfast that my dad thought it would be funny to say (and keep repeating throughout the entire trip) "I see Pooh!" which the kids thought was funny. Of course we did get to see Pooh and his pals and the kids got some great hugs!

So now that our tummy's are full of honey from our friend Pooh it is time for some rides! Our first attraction for the day was Dumbo! The kids were really excited to ride it and we had a blast on it.

Day 2 - Epcot

So our first day in the parks was Epcot! We rode Test Track first which Grant liked but scared Molly. Jeremy went and rode Mission: Space which the rest of us were too scared of getting sick on so nobody would ride with him. I mean really...when a ride has barf bags on it I'm just not going to ride it! No ride can be that good! We played in Innoventions and learned about recycling then we headed over to the The Seas. Both kids really liked the Nemo and friends ride and Grant got to talk to Crush in his show which he thought was pretty cool.

We left there and headed to The Land to get fastpasses for Soarin. A very nice gentleman heard our plan and had some extra fastpasses he wasn't going to use so he gave them to us. Mom and Molly sat this one out while Mush, Grant, Jeremy and I went. This has to be the coolest ride ever! You really feel like you are flying in a hanglider. We knew mom had to ride this so we got more fastpasses for later so she could go. By this time we were hungry so we ate at the Garden Grill and met some furry cuties!

The whole gang in our matching camo!

Our first autograph!

This flirty creature pushed Dad out of the way to kiss Mom's hand!

This is where Molly spent most of the week!

After lunch we took Mom on Soarin and Dad stayed with Molly. Of course she loved it as much as we did. It is a must do on any Disney vacation! We rode the boat ride of Living with the Land where they talk about how to grow food without dirt...that ride looks exactly the same as it did the first time we went to Disney when I was eleven.

We went on to the Imagination Station and rode the Figment ride which the kids thought was funny and played around at the fun stations they have set up there. We took a picture of all of us that they superimposed in front of the castle at night that looked cool. It was getting warm outside so we got some slushies and sat in the shade for a bit then headed over to the character spot to meet some more friends!

After "goofing" around a bit we headed back to the house for some pool time and dinner. It was a full day but we didn't want to wear ourselves out because we were having breakfast with some special friends the next morning!

Day 1 - Waking Up in the Middle of the Night

Our flight departed DFW at 6:05am so we spent the night at a hotel close to the airport. Our alarms went off at 3am so all six of us could get ready and be on the shuttle at 4:30. The kids thought getting up in the middle of the night was quite fun and really were troopers about it.

Checking in was interesting since we had four adults, two children, seven suitcases and eight carryons! We are so thankful that we traveled before American started charging all those fees. We grabbed a biscuit from McD's and boarded the plane. This was the kids first plane ride and they loved it! (Grant flew when he was one but of course doesn't remember it.) We had packed all kinds of things for them to do on the plane but they were content to watch the sunrise and drink their little glass of Sprite...what a treat!

We landed and got the rental car and headed to the leasing office to pick up the keys to the house. We instantly fell in love with our house and pool! The kids loved picking out which room was theirs and the adults loved that there was two king suites to choose from.

Each of the kids rooms had a small television and they thought that was so cool! We don't allow tvs in their rooms at home so this was a huge treat. Of course we found a few channels they could watch but oh how they loved sitting on their beds to watch cartoons.

We headed out to dinner and then to Downtown Disney to buy their autograph books. Grant loved the Lego store and Molly was excited to see all the princess gear. We capped off the night with a play in the fountain!

OK so that was Day One...I hope you liked the post and that it isn't too many pictures! We only took 2,784 so it is hard to choose which ones to post!

We are back!

Ok folks...we are back from a fabulous trip to Disney! We left on Mother's Day, spent seven days in the parks and got home this afternoon. I will try to post some pictures soon!
